Mrs. Jokotola Ojosipe-Ogundimu was born on 20th March, 1954 at Paddington General Hospital, London, England.
She attended St. Mary’s Nursery School, Lagos from1958 to 1959; Reagan Memorial Baptist Girls’ Primary School, Yaba from 1960 to 1966; Reagan Memorial Baptist Girls’ Secondary School, Yaba from 1967 to 1971; Federal School of Arts and Science, Victoria Island, Lagos from 1972 to 1975; and University of Lagos from 1975 to 1979, from where she obtained B.Sc. (Hons.) in Business Administration.
She served her NYSC with the Nigerian Breweries as an Assistant Manager in the Marketing Department.
She started her working career with the Lagos State Civil Service On 14th July, 1980 as Assistant Secretary (Personnel) in the Civil Service Commission. Thereafter, she worked as Senior Assistant Secretary (Finance) in the Ministry of Works, where she doubled as the Secretary, Departmental Tenders Board (1984-1985); Secretary to the Lagos State Water Corporation (1985 – 1989);Chief Administrative Officer, Agricultural Development Authority, Ministry of Agriculture & Cooperative (1989 – 1995).
In September 1995, she became the Director of Establishments, Ministry of Establishments, Training & Pensions and later served as Director, Personnel Service Matters in the Local Government Service Commission; Director, Finance & Administration, Civil Service Pension Office. She held the same position in the Ministry of Health from November 2002 to November 2005 when she was moved as Director of Personnel Management, State Universal Basic Education Board.
She also served as Director, Finance & Administration at the Management Services & Reforms Office, Ministry of Home Affairs & Culture, Ministry of Education (2008 – 2011) and Ministry of Energy &Mineral Resources (2011 – 2013).Having garnered invaluable experience, she was appointed as Permanent Secretary, Civil Service Commission in January, 2014; the position she held until she statutorily retired from the Lagos State Civil Service on 19th March, 2014.
In the course of her career, she also served on various committees which include Committee Constituted to Examine the Implementation of The New Salary Structure as it affects Health Service Commission & LASUTH, Committee Review of Mining & Haulage Activities in Lagos State, Committee on Development of Energy Policy & Energy Master Plan for Lagos State, Committee on the Review of the Public Service Rules, to mention a few.
After a fulfilling career, based on her wealth of experience in Establishment Matters and Human Resource Management, she was engaged as a National Consultant by DFID-SPARC (Department for International Development, State Partnership for Accountability, Responsiveness and Capability) from April 2014 to Dec. 2015 for the Programme on Enhancing HR Capacity for Lagos State.
She is a Member, Nigerian Institute of Management, Member, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria. She is a Seasoned Administrator and Bureaucrat.
Mrs Ojosipe-Ogundimu is the widow of Late Mr. Victor Olamide Ogundimu and they are blessed with children.
She was appointed as a Commission Member in the Lagos State Audit Service Commission on 1st of August, 2016.
