HON. EMMANUEL SUNDAY KAPPO ESQ COMMISSIONER II

Mr. Emmanuel Sunday Kappo was born in January 1960. Mr. kappo attended Badagry Grammar School between 1973 to 1977 where he sat for his west African School Certificate Examination. He then proceeded to the University of Lagos in 1980 where he studied Banking and Finance. He graduated with a Second Class Upper Division in 1983. He had his National Youth Service programme at the radio O-Y-O, Ibadan in 1984.

In July, 1984, Mr. kappo joined The Lagos State Board of Internal Revenue as an inspector of taxes on level 08. By 2015, when he retired from the State Service, he was already an Assistant Director of taxes on level 15. While in the Service, he was assigned as Head of tax stations at Imota, Ikorodu, Oregun, Ojo and Tinubu. At these stations, Mr. kappo displayed efficient and effective management of Human and Material Resources. He was also responsible for exponential increase of Revenue collection at these stations.

In his desire to improve himself academically while in the Service, Mr. kappo acquired his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with specialisation in Financial Management at the Lagos State University in 1998. He also enrolled for a new degree in Law from the same University on part time basis and graduated in 2007 for his Bachelor of Law Degree (B.L.) and was called to the Nigerian bar after successfully attending Nigerian Law School in November 2008.

Politically, Mr. Emmanuel Sunday kappo has held many Appointments. After his retirement from the Service in 2005, he was appointed as a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor in 2006. He was also appointed as the Senior Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor of Lagos State between 2007-2011. He served as a member of the governing council of Micheal Otedola College of Primary Education, Epe between 2015-2019. In all these appointments, he has been very reliable and effective to his Political Constituent.

Mr. Emmanuel Sunday kappo is a Legal Practitioner, a Public Administrator and astute politician. He is an associate member of the Institute Of Strategic Management, Nigeria. He is also a member of the Institute of Cooperative Administration of Nigeria. He is a team player and lover of sports. He is the current Commissioner II of Audit Service Commission.

He is happily married to Mrs. Bolanle Sunkanmi Kappo and they are blessed with Children.
