Mrs. Adebimpe Dada was born on the 28th of April, 1959 in Badagry to the family of late Alhaji Tijani Akinleye Bakre & late Alhaja Mulikat Adunni Bakre of Oke- Balogun,Epe.
She attended Local Authourity Primary School, Badagry & Ajeromi District Council Primary School, Apapa for her primary education from 1964 to 1967. She also attended Ansar- ud- Deen College, Isolo for her secondary education from 1967 to 1974 and passed out with flying colours.
She later proceeded to the Federal School of Arts & Science, Victoria Island, Lagos for her advanced level from where she gained admission to the then University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University Ile- Ife in September, 1976 to study Agriculture. She graduated in June 1980 with a B.Sc. Hons. Degree. She then proceeded for her NYSC which she completed in October, 1981.
She worked briefly with Olatunde Ayoola & Co.(Chartered Accountants) before joining the firm of Peat, Marwick, Ani, Ogunde & Co as a trainee accountant in January 1982. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in November, 1985 and remained in the firm as a supervising senior.
In 1989, she joined the Central Bank of Nigeria as a manager from where she crossed over to the Lagos State Civil Service in December, 1996 as a Chief Accountant-GL 14.
While in the service, she worked in various ministries & agencies namely:
Accountant General’s office, Hospital Management Board now Health Service Commission,
PPTESCOM now TEPO, State Treasury Office, Civil Service Pension Office, Ministry of Economic Planning & Budget.
She was appointed a Director of Accounts- GL. 16 in January, 2004.when the service conditions were reviewed, she was re-appointed a Director,( Finance & Accounts) GL.17 in January, 2008. Until her appointment as Permanent Secretary, she was the Director, Finance & Accounts of the Ministry of Works & Infrastructure.
Mrs Dada has attended various training programmes, conferences, seminars, etc at both home and abroad.
She is currently a member of the Nigerian Institute Management, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, Society of Women Accountants of Nigeria and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. She is also a member of the Nigeria Girls Guide.
Mrs Dada is married to Revd. (Engr.) Adelani Dada, a Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer and former chairman of the old Somolu Local Government & now a minister of the Gospel of Christ. their union is blessed with four children who by the grace of god are all professionals in their chosen fields. She was appointed as Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Audit Service Commission on 11th January 2018 and sworn in on 12th January 2018; by his Excellency, Mr. Akinwumi Ambode, the Governor of Lagos state. She had since assumed duties on Monday 15th January, 2018 at the Audit Service Commission
